Safety Supervisor leads our dynamic aquatic team, ensuring a safe
and enjoyable environment while developing staff into confident
water safety professionals. This supervisory role combines hands-on
pool operations with team mentoring, offering opportunities to
shape our aquatic programs and make a meaningful impact on guests
safety. Through strategic oversight and innovative training
approaches, you'll create an environment where both team member and
guests thrive.Who You Are:
- Strong supervisory ability with experience leading and
mentoring aquatic staff
- Excellent decision-making skills, especially in high-pressure
safety situations
- Current certifications in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR/AED, and
Water Safety Instruction
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing
schedules and documentation
- Effective communicator who can build relationships with team
members, and operators
- Veterans and military spouses encouraged to apply.What You'll
Do:
- Lead and inspire a team of aquatic safety trainers through
effective scheduling, mentoring, and performance coaching.
- Develop and deliver advanced training programs to certify
lifeguards in lifesaving techniques, CPR, and emergency
response
- Create and enforce comprehensive safety protocols while
fostering a culture of water safety awareness *
- Execute and train engaging aquatic programs that enhance team
member and guest experience
- Drive continuous improvement through detailed documentation and
analysis of incidents and guard performance
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to promote aquatic
safety initiatives
- Facilitate in-service tracking and data base input is timely is
accurate.
- Utilize accountability tools to ensure all lifeguards are
current with training.Your Experience Includes:
- Minimum 2 years of lifeguarding experience in a high-volume
aquatic facility is required
- 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience in aquatics or
recreation management is required
- Current StarGuard Lifeguard certification, including CPR/AED
and First Aid, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire is
required
- Proven ability to train, schedule, and evaluate team member
performance for teams of 10+ lifeguards is required
- Experience enforcing risk management and emergency response
protocols during aquatic operations is required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings,
and holidays as needed is required
- Proficient in incident reporting, maintenance documentation,
and daily operations tracking is required
- Demonstrated ability to respond calmly and effectively in
high-pressure, emergency situations is required
- Capability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated
with pool supervision and rescues is requiredWho You'll Supervise:
